Hi Phil,

Yes, we arranged our trip to Uganda on June with Gorilla Tours. We stayed 16 days in Uganda, and one in Rwanda. My husband and I booked with them a 4*4 car and the driver (he's called Richard). Everything was great and I recommend it for sure.
We arranged two gorilla trackings, one in Uganda (Nkuringo), and one in Rwanda (Hirwa group). A great experience to watch Chimps and Gorillas so close :)

Greetings from Spain

I didn't I just booked it with the Government, paid my permit, and booked my accommodation. Much cheaper. But it depends on whether you want to get to know the locals or not. If not, then a tour is defintely a must.

Agree with skydivinggirl.... Booked directly through UWA, was pretty straightforward. Picked up the 'tickets' when in Kampala, straightforward too. Bussed to Bwindi (as a last stop after Fort Portal & QE NP), last piece (between QE and Bwindi) we got a private car & driver as we could take a shortcut to Bwindi then (not going over Mbarara) but furthermore that bus from Kampala to Fort Fortal and then further on to QE was ok.

It was all so easy, don't see no point in going through a local tour operator....
