I am planning a Gorilla Tracking trip next June (2009) in Uganda and Rwanda. I have been in contact with a travel agency called Kazinga Tours. Has anyone every used it? Is it reputable? What is the going rate for a Gorilla Tracking permit per day per person?

If you buy the permit direct from UWA or RWA they are $500.

I think Kazinga tours are predominantly Ugandan based, I have not come across them in Rwanda.

As post #1 says you will pay $500 per permit (ORTPN in Rwanda). Most tour opeartors I know do not add a fee on top as they receive 1 free permit for every 10 they book, and that tends to be how they generate their commission, if you are just booking a permit on it's own the Rwandan operators may add c$10-$15 for their admin, but that's about it.

Tjeeeez we paid 275$ only a good year ago.... Now that's called 'inflation'....
We booked also directly through UWA. Was quite smooth. And picked up the permits in their office when in Kampala.
