Go on a Chimp Habituation experience (I forget the name of the park but in the West of the country). Great value compared to Gorillas and you spend all day with them. Also at the same place there is Community project where you can go on a guided walk and see monkeys which is great.

Things you must do:

1) Go to Murchison Falls NP and take the boat trip to the falls - the narrowest place on the whole length of the Nile.

2) Go to Lake Bunyoni, near Kabale, hire a dugout canoe and paddle out to one of the islands.

3) See the source of the Nile at Jinja - not much to see but you have to do it. You can also bungee jump and go whitewater rafting there.

4) Go to Sipi Falls, on the slopes of Mt Elgon, near the kenyan border.

5) See the gorillas, of course - expensive but definitely worth it.

It's a great country.

Enjoy!

I'd add Queen Elizabeth National Park, Mount Elgon Climb (relatively easy trek), and Lake Victoria (Africa's largest lake)
