I also went to the Budongo Forest, but did the all day habituation experience and it was phenomenal! It was just myself and two guides (ask for Sauda, she is wonderful. She is the first female guide in Uganda) We spent about 8 hours following the chimps through the forrest, and saw about 20 throughout the day. When and where they moved, we moved, so it was definitely an active day. Highly recommend it. I chose Budongo over Kibale because it was considerably cheaper for the habituation experience in Budongo. I'm really glad I made that decision. It also made sense for me, because I went to Murchisson Falls on the Red Chili trip, so had them drop me off at the lodge in Budongo afterwards. The extra money to spend the entire day with the chimps was well worth it, rather than being in a larger group and only spending one hour with them.
