I was in Uganda 4 years ago and had an absolutely amazing time and now I want to go back with my girlfriend. It seems though that the prices for especially primate tracking has skyrocketed. Therefore I am looking for some recent experiences with particularly chimp tracking.
Which is the cheapest place for chimp tracking? I have read on the internet that chimp tracking at Kalinzu forest have been raised to 50 dollars, is this true? Also, have the entrance fees for NP's been changed for exclusively per day? (it used to be 3 days or more for 50 dollars).
Finally if anyone is planning a trip to Uganda in July, I would love to hear from you and maybe share some cost for car rental in Murchinson and Queen Elizabeth.

We returned 2 weeks ago -as for your questions:
- Park entrances fees: 30 USD/24h, depending on the NP class. But Murchinson and QENP have this price;
- I think it is exclusive per day, because at some NP we spent more than one day and we payed per day;
- chimp tracking fee: Kibale is the most expensive (I must say we tracked there and on that morning no one found the habituated chimps...), 90USD+park entrance; you have kyambura gorge at QENP for 50USD and at Murchinson NP it'll be 30USD. I think there are 2 more places, but I'm not sure of that
- if you can get the park entrances for you at UWA HQ in Kampala, it'll save you some time - however, the vehicle and driver entrances must be payed at the park;
Hope this is helpful.
