Hey Guys

Im heading to East Africa next summer for a few months and was hoping to do some gorilla trekking while im there. Does anyone have any recommendations for good and preferably cheap-ish companys? I found some comapnies online but they seemed to be about $900us for 3 days which seemed kind of pricey. also would it be cheaper to do the trek in the DRC or Rwanda? Any help would be great.

Thanks

With permits running at $500 pppd it seems that you would be getting a good deal.

But you only get the permit for one day so you're paying $400 for transport to and from Kampala, cheap accommodation and food. If you have the time you can get there for much less on public transport but you may have trouble organising the permits. You can try and do it direct with the Uganda Wildlife Authority:

I will be in Africa in October and I have allowed four days for Gorilla trekking and would like some views on a comparison between Uganda and Rwanda. Which offers the greatest experience if cost is not a consideration.
