Hello,

I'm going to Uganda , I'll be in Entebbe on November 2nd. I have 1 day free, so I'd like to do 1 day tour to Jinja and see Nile sources. Could you tell me how much it should be cost and if someone can, please recommend the good (not too expensive) tour operator

Thanks a lot

you are aware that this is only one of the sources of the nile and apart from saying you have been there I wonder if it is worth a visit in itself -

if you're up to it - spend the day rafting down the nile rapids. It's a once in a lifetime thing, you get more Nile in you in a minute than a year looking at the river from an abstract and arbitrary point, they pick up up and take you back, throw in lunch and beers. There are several reputable operaotrs. I went with Nalubale, who are professional and made you feel as safe as it's possible to be. Elsewise, might as well spend the day in Kampala - Owino Market, Kasubi tombs, Mengo (Palace and Parliament) etc. It's as nice a capital as you get in Africa.

Do-it-yourself prices for comparison.
Matatu Entebbe to Kampala 1-2 usd
Bus Kampala to Jinja 2-3 usd
Entry to official "Source of the Nile" 4-5 usd

Contact info@routestoafrica.com They offer a 1 day trip, with a stop at Ssezibwa Falls, a hike at Mabira Forest, and the boat to the source of the Nile for $180 for 1 person. If you only want to go to the source, as you said, it would be less. They are good. If you have more people to go, it is always less.

Easier and more relaxing to go with a guide/company than do it yourself.
