Whitewater rafting

Hi

I have planned to go white water rafting in jinja however I have been struck by how no insurance in the UK covers grade 5 rafting. (that I can find) can any one reccomend a company or what to do?

Try these guys. They were very positive recently when I asked about Mali, which is also hard to get insurance for.

I used Insure and go. They insure up to grade three but you can upgrade at any time. This was good for me as I wanted to raft grade 5, but with the adventure tour insurers you are paying for the cover every single day, so you are always going to pay for something you will not use. I phoned them up (or got my brother to phone them up in the uk!) and they gave me an upgrade to grade 5 rafting for one day for just £4.60. The good thing also was that you could use it at any time, as long as you only go one day it was non date-specific.

I also had to make two claims with them for hospital visits during a year away and they were very easy to deal with (though stung me a bit on the excess but that's my fault for agreeing to it!!)
