Visa from Zambia to Zimbabwe at Livingstone

I'm an Indian passport holder (which means that I would need to apply for a visa in advance to travelling to either Zambia and Zimbabwe).

We will be flying into Zambia : will it be possible to get a day pass to see the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe or do we need a visa in advance? If we exit Zambia on our current visa, will it be a problem getting back?

Hi there are no day passes into Zim from Zam, so you will need a full visa for Zim, and a double entry for Zambia. You can get a pass at the border out of Zambia if you say you are going to the bungee jump on the bridge, then go into Zim for a few hours, this is OK for those who can get a visa at the border, but as you need to get your visa for Zambia in advance that could be a bit risky if the border people on the return into Zam get suspicious and demand a full visa fee.

In 2008 Zambia increased the prices of their visas, and a U.S. or U.K. citizen can expect to pay US$135 or US$140 for a 3-year multiple-entry visa. but I don't want to be stuck in Zimbabwe : let me check if Zambia will issue a multiple entry visa else we'll see the falls only from the Zambian side.

Hi, that info is well out of date, the visa fee for Zambia is $50 single, $80 double/multiple across the board for all visitors. Zim on the other hand has varying rates for diferent countries, and these even can change at a moments notice. There is a 24hr visa into Zam for $20, but the day visa into Zim was cancelled a while ago.
