Vic Falls

Country forums / Africa / Zambia

i am flying in to livingstone and want to get across to vic falls (zim side) any ideas about the transport options for that? i'd love to have an idea of what i'm doing before i actually get there...

Take a taxi to the Zambian side Vic Falls entrance, walk across the bridge, and take a taxi to Vic falls.

Or just walk it's not far.

Any of the backpackers places in Livingstone offer free shuttles to the falls. From the entrance to the Zambian side just walk straight instead of entering the park, just go straight on over vic falls bridge and walk into Zimbabwe! Be aware though that the exit from zambia is quite far from the border with Zimbabwe, just keep walking, if you think you've missed it, you have not! The falls entrance is about ten minutes from the border. The whole walk takes about an hour. Oh and don't forget to get a multi entry stamp in livingstone, it takes about half an hour and costs $10-20

I stayed at Fawlty Towers during my trip you can arrange a pick up from the airport to the hostel and they have daily shuttle to the vic falls border at 10 in the morning!! (http://www.adventure-africa.com/)
