Trekking in Northern Morocco

Country forums / Africa / Morocco

Hi

Hope to spend a couple of weeks in Northern Morocco in Sept this year. As part of this trip my partner and I would like to investigate the option to do some trekking. I know about the Rif mountains and the Kif connections but I am wondering if there was anywhere else where I can avoid all the hassle with hash to go trekking/hiking. We did 12 days 3 years ago in the High Atlas and ha da fab time, hired cook, mules etc. We will probably take the ferry from Malaga to Tangier and back, then have a look at the city, then go and see Chechouan and maybe a seaside town. Would also like to visit Fes so prob take a train from Tangier. Any other suggestions of where to trek or visit around these locations would be most welcome.
