Travelling in Uganda in Christmas/New Year periodCountry forums / Africa / Uganda
Hi I have never travelled on a overseas trip during this time of year and imagine that it will be more difficult than usual. Has anybody travelled at this time of year and can give any practical advice. Apart from public transport being crowded does public transport for relatively long distances continue to operate on Christmas/Boxing day ? It would probably be better to find somewhere nice and stay there but I may have to continue to move to keep up with my itinery .
In Uganda: yes it does. | 1
Yes they do. But they use Xmas to hike (double) the prices, which, for public transport and a tourist, is still rel cheap though. | 2
I am also travelling in Uganda over Christmas. I am concerned about finding accommodation since I assume there will be many other tourists at that time - I prefer not to book in advance. Is it advisable to book in advance or should it be fine to just show up?? Any help is appreciated. | 3
