Train Swakopmund to Windhoek

I would like to take the train (Starline) from Swakopmund to Windhoek, departure in Swakopmund at 8.45 pm, arrival in Windhoek at 7.00 am. Is this a safe and reliable (on time) train?

My contact said:
"I have used it myself before and my colleagues also. It is generally safe, but not as clean as the Desert Express used by tourist. The StarLine is mostly used by local people as it is safe and a cheap mode of transport."

The Desert Express departs Swakopmund once a week at 1500 (Saturday).
