hello every one..........
I'm flying to madagascar in dec for 3 weeks and I'm looking for nice places to spend christmas and new years..
a place with some nice parties a bit of a night life....(especially for new year)

besides this the only place i have on my plannes now is Île Sainte-Marie where plan on going diving.
anyone got some suggestion on must see places??

tnx
bryan

Hello
For me i was in Majunga on Christmas and then in Nosy be for New years but i can say fantastic for your plan go to StMarie i think it's not good idea because it's rain season and don't forget St Marie is in east coast and island it's not safe for the cyclone so just suggestion why not in nosy be for diving.
Good luck!
Ken

Hi Bryan,

Malagasy people celebrate New Year vigorously everywhere, so you're likely to find something (discos etc.) wherever you happen to be.

I must disagree with #1 - cyclones are not a danger on Sainte Marie in December - the "season" starts in January - and the fact that it is the rainy season doesn't mean that it rains all the time - quite the contrary. You can have good or bad luck with the weather there at any time of year.

If there is a danger there, it's in the sea crossing to the island and on sea trips in local waters. There've been a number of fatalities this year, so you need to take a careful look at the vessel taking you out to the dive sites. Exactly the same applies, by the way, if you decide to go diving around Nosy Be instead.
