Renting a Car in Zanzibar

Hi All,

I've read a few of the old posts on the topic, but they are quite old. We will be arriving to the airport at 6:40 pm on a friday, and leaving at 9:55 am on Sunday. I know we need an international drivers permit or a permit from the car rental agency. So, a few questions:

1. We are 6 people. Is it possible to get a car that will fit 6?
2. Can anyone recommend a company to rent from?
3. Is it easy to get them to meet us at the airport for pickup and drop off?
4. Is there anything else I should know?

1. I propose if you will be on island for such short time its better to hire a car with driver , so no stress with traffic police .

2.The company which i know there its call ZDS LT ( Zanzibar Dhow Safari LTD ) - can send you the contact if you prefer that .

1. Actually most of car Hire service companies in Zanzibar works 24 hrs - so i am pretty sure they will meet you at that time at Airport .

2. And if you need comfortable car for 6 people its better for you to hire Van which has 7 seaters capacity .
