Removal companies to Rwanda

Hi All,

Would anybody happen to know which UK/European based removal companies have agents or even own office in Rwanda? Thank you in advance...

When we came oout we used Pickfords from the UK. It took about 3 months for a 30 foot conatiner to go door to door. The local agent that Pickfords (and everyone else) use in Kigali is a company called AGS Frasers email: manager-rwanda@mtnonline.rw. The embassy and DIFID use Crown Relocations but we found their quote very expensive.

I googled the term "removal company" and most of the links I got were about hauling away trash. It is only when I clicked on the suggested "international removal company" that I discovered the specialized meaning of this term!

Sarah, thanks a lot, that was helpful. Actually, I had already asked a quote from AGS but it was quite expensive, perhaps my consignment is too small. I have used them once and was not entirely happy with them.

BigBri: ???? my google gives removal companies when i google removal companies. Other terms i have seen used are shipping companies or movers.

How small is small and are you shipping to or from Rwanda? I may be about to send stuff from Rwanda to the UK with AGS and will be taking at least half a container.

Hi Fulana. It is one of those language things. In the US the term "removal company" is not a common usage When I used google.co.UK I got what you are looking for.

The first time I heard the word "jumper" I was also confused. Here it refers to a pinafore dress.

Sarah, small means 6-7 cbm:) Thanks a lot but I will be moving the other direction, from the UK to Rwanda.... I am also confused with the UK associations, there are so many (British International Freight Association, the National Guild of Removers, the British Association of Removers, Road Haulage Association etc), i guess those are all reputable associations, thus the members of all of them could be considered somewhat reliable?
