Nuweiba - St Catherine - Sharm el Sheik

Hello,
I am planning to make a quick trip around South Sinai early September.

My plan is coming from Jordan (Aqaba) by Ferry to Nuweiba (Monday Sep 2nd).
Because it's Monday, there are not bedouin Buses to St. Catherine that day.
I already bought a flight ticket from Sharm to Cairo for next day (Sep 3th) at the end of the day.

Then, I am thinking to go to St. Catherine from Nuweiba. I'd like to spent the night there, go very early in the morning to Mt Sinai and visit the Monastery. Therefore, I need to go to the Airport in Sharm.

I think the only way to make this plan is hiring a taxi. Then, I have some questions: how safe is rent a taxi if I am traveling alone? Do I have to rent one taxi for whole trip? I mean, St Catherine is a small village, if I arrive by taxi my first day, then, the next day, it's possible that I can find a taxi? How much do I have to pay for the taxi each way [Nuweiba => St Catherine] and [St. Catherine => Sham el-Sheikh airport]?

Finally, some advice about a good place to spend the night in St Catherine? good value place?
