Right, im going to West Africa this summer, so im going to travel from Moroccow overland to Mauitania, Senegal, Mali, Ghana, Togo, Benin, and possible Niger or The Gambia. My plans are still pretty rough.

My problem, well hopefully not a problem, is that i only have 6 pages left in my passport, and 4 half pages, if that makes sense. Has anyone done a similar route to this, and if so, how page intsensive was it. Will i be needing to get a new passport? Which countries have visas which take up a whole page? Oh, and i have a british passport if that makes any difference.

Thanks for any info!!!

You need full pages for visas for Mauritania, Mali, Ghana, Togo, Benin and Niger (I'd go to Niger by the way - but make it to Agadez if you do). You get entry and exit stamps for Morocco, Senegal and The Gambia as you do not require a visa - the countires with visas still stamp you in and out too . That leaves you very tight - especially if someone stamps over your half pages in the countries that take up a full page in the first place. If it's a full passport you want, you could risk it - you could always get a passport in Ghana in a few days if worse happens - although a lot pricier than home.
