Madagascar in January

I know that January is cyclone season in Madagascar. Are there any parts of the country that would still be ok to go to in January... or should I just stay away from Madagascar at this time?

January is cyclone season in Madagascar but south of Madagascar has semi-desert climate so you can lead to the south follow the national road 7, visit Ranomafana, Isalo .
