luxor to aswan

one more day before i fly out to cairo. after cairo i intend to stay 2 nights and 2 days in luxor and the 3 rd day i want to go aswan via edfu etc. stay overnight aswan and go to abusimbel next morning before i catch the evening flight from aswan back to cairo.

1- suggestions to stay in luxor and aswan? nefriditi in luxor sounds promising
2- is there bus going from luxor via edfu to aswan- does anyone know the timings
3- a decent budget place in aswan to stay and how does one organise the abu simbel trip?

3 - In Aswan I stayed at the Keylany hotel. www.keylanyhotel.com. Very clean with a fun rooftop bar. I booked my Abu Simbel trip through them very inexpensively. I think booking them through hostelworld or the like will give you the best rates.

I to stayed at the Keylany hotel and it was a great hotel with the BEST breckfasts in Egypt.
Price was about LE50 for a double room and the Abu Simbel trip is about the same.
The hotel is close to all the action but still quiet.

1 and 2 is completely correct. Among the best backpacker places in Egypt. The rooftop place is not a "bar" though, but anyway, you can bring drinks there, so it'll serve your purpose fine.
