local travel agent for self-drive

Country forums / Africa / Namibia

Hi,

We're looking for Namibia based travel agents who have interesting offers (mix of camping, budget lodges and tented camps, mix of self-drive and guided for more off-road areas). If the travel agent has a sustainable tourism approach, even better!

Anyone has any good ones to recommend?

Thanks,

Viggie

I have used Gemma for my upcoming trip. Gemma which are DE on TripAdviser and recommended by many. Found that it cost the same as if I had booked myself.

Look up the website for ATI holidays. I haven't travelled with them as I do a DIY trip to Namibia but have stayed at Rivendell Guesthouse where they were based and have seen how they work and listened to guests who have used their services. Enjoy Namibia.

cardboard box tours will tailor the combination that you ask for, camping, accommodation, guides, independent, whatever. and their prices seem quite good - we checked a lot before we booked with them, and going through them has turned out to be no more than 3-5% than trying to do everything ourselves. we have decided on a self-drive, combined camping and simple guesthouses, and two one-day tours for places where our rented vehicle shouldn't go.
