Jerry can and electric air pump

Hi
I have rented a 4x4 for a month and will drive from CT to Northern Namibia and back during November 15. Unfortunately the rental company wants to charge me for extras such as a jerry can, electric air pump and a second spare for Nissan Qashqai. I would like to avoid buying things that I cannot reuse and so would like to know if anyone in CT would be willing to lend me their spare jerry can and air pump from 1st Nov to 4th Dec, date on which I will be back in CT. Less buying=less landfill so thought I would try this out! Send me a pm if you can help. Cheers!!

Don´t worry too much... you can always manage...
In the supermarkets you find 5 l water bottles, even bigger,... good enough to re-use...
We did Namibia and South Africa with a Ford Fiesta, even 2.000 km on gravel roads in Namibia (well maintened, fine). Never had any problem. One spare as usual is fine.
Only if going to Kalahari or Richfield... remote areas, you need special equipmente.
There are gas stations too, at least every 200 km in Namibia.... and you will cross travellers too.

Thanks for that! I worry a bit as it seems I will be driving alone so changing a flat tyre or anything else that might go wrong with the car is going to be handled only by myself! ;) I got the 4x4 because I'd like to go into rougher terrain...but we will see...I'm going to study your blog this week!!
