| highlands1514:34 UTC08 Mar 2015 | Hey every body!
This is Ingela and Tim currently working as volunteer medical doctors in the southern part of Tanzania, Peramiho hospital. This week we finish our volunteer work and next week the 17th March, would like to go for a short 2--3 days safari to Ngorongoro and Manyara and connect it with 6 days Donkey walking with maasai warriors in the north of Ngorongoro. Total 8 days. Through our research we received the following itinerary:
Day-1-Lake Manyara tour, overnight at the campsite near Manyara.
Day-2-Ngorongoro crater tour then sleep on the crater rim at the campsite called Simba.
Day-3- Walking into Olmoti crater overnight Einokanoka base.
Day-4- Walking through embulimbuli depression then sleep at Bulati village.
Day-5-Bulati to Empakai crater(inside the crater) then sleep at Emakai crater rim.
Day-6- Empakai to Naiyobi to Sleep.
Day-7-Naiyobi to Ngareselo to sleep.
Day-8- Midnight climb Oldonyo lengai- at 10.00a.m drive back to Arusha.
Has anybody heard about such itinerary? Is it possible to do the Ngorongoro crater highlands trek like that? Is there anybody who can join me for such trip? Please help! ingelatimatyahoodotcom

MAKE SURE you get to camp on the top of the ridge at the end of the acacias right across from Lengai. It is one of my fav camp sites in Africa and Ive been in 16 nat parks around the contient. Safari Ngema!!
