Internet/mifi and Ipad/laptops functionality in Uganda

We are in Uganda for 3.5 months with our children. My wife is doing research on Obstetric Fistula for Grad degree and I am supposed to school the kids and write a book. So- does anyone know if Mifi will work in Uganda rural (soroti) areas? Im considering bringing a used Ipad and mifi to connect via cell service.
Im not a tech guy, and any suggestions here would be great! Thanks- E

hey yoodaman..yes ur ipad can work here but u will need to buy a ugandan simcard and a prepaid internet service then you wil be able to use it..u can buy that at the airport or in town..

Yes internet will work in Soroti but i recommend if you buy orange or mtn internet simcard/modem. enjoy your stay in Uganda.
