Ghana Blog

Country forums / Africa / Ghana

I recently returned from a trip through Ghana and have posted a blog with pics and vids if anyone is interested. It was my first trip to Africa, and I can honestly say I was never concerned about safety. I would highly recommend Ghana to anyone. If you have any questions, post here and I will try to answer.

Looked at your posts. Well done.
Last I was in Ghana was 1968, Peace Corps. Wonderful country. Don't know what I would feel now if I went back, because everything is so built up, at least in Accra.

Thanks! I imagine Accra was very different in '68. I absolutely loved it and was taken by the warmth and kindness of the people.

Thanks for your kind words and thanks for following! As Ghana is a very religious country, Sundays can be quiet, so you should make sure that your destination will actually be open before heading out. Keep in mind that nature doesn't know what day it is, and most parks and common tourist destinations will be open. Have a great trip!
