Ferry from Tangier (Morocco) to Algeciras (Spain)

Hello,

I'll be in Tangier in September of this year and would love to take the ferry to Spain (Algeciras). Can anyone provide any information on where the port is in Tangier and schedule of ferries?

There's a port in Tanger Ville (bit hard to miss, it's next to the sea) and another port called Tanger Med about 40km or more to the east. See map on post #5 at http://www.morocco-knowledgebase.net/forum/showthread.php?t=105

There's several companies running services across the Strait of Gibraltar, go to http://www.aferry.to and stick in 'Tanger Med to Algeciras' and it should come up with all the companies on all three routes.

Ferries to Algerciras run from the Tangier Med port, about an hour by bus/taxi from Tangier town, ferries from Tangier Ville run to Tarrifa, a bit less than an hour from Algerciras, however there is a free bus link connecting Tarrifa and Algerciras. This is my personal preferred route.
