Etosha NWR campsights

Hello,

I have had a terrible time getting a hold of someone at NWR regarding bookings for Etosha National Park. We originally had a provisional booking for 4 nights at Etosha and then our sales rep never got back to us. Since then, I have called their main reservations office and they say they only have one night available in the park.

My partner and I would really like to spend additional nights camping at Etosha-Okaukuejo, Namutoni or Halali. If anyone is willing to share a campsight (and split the cost) August, 1, 2 or 3 of 2009 please post a message here.

In 2005 we made our reservations while in Windhoek, but after arriving decided we wanted to stay longer. We were able to find other campers at the camp in late afternoon who were quite willing to add us to there site.

Harder to share a site now with the computerized reservation system. There is no way office staff can add more campers to a site once it has been paid for. I tried this approach last summer by showing up at Namutoni without a reservation. They let me book my own site at Halali for 2 nights. Then from there I reserved for Okakeujo for 1 night.
