Bus from Arusha to Uganda

Hi there!

I am planning to get from Arusha to Uganda with bus next week. I heard about Kampal Coach. Does anyone know which route it is driving? Through Kenya of south-west around Lake Victoria (which means only through Tanzania)? And how about the visa? Is it payed in the bus and which currency should it be payed in?

Through Kenya. You will get a Kenyan visa at the Tz-Kenyan border and a Ug visa at the Kenyan-Ug border. Pay for the visas in USD.

There's an East African agreement that allows you to return to Kenya from Tz or Ug on a single-entry visa. Likewise for returning to Tz and Ug. I don't think Rwanda or Burundi are part of this accord. If you venture outside Kenya, Tz or Ug, that would invalidate the single-entry visa. I've never actually witnessed this though as I have Kenyan resident status.
