Hi everyone! I am planning on continuing my traveling with a trip around africa and am planning on being there for about a year and i have been trying to find out how much it will cost me. So if anyone has done a similar trip (and done it cheaply) I am really interested in how much they spent! Also if anyone has done some volunteer work over there i would love to hear about some good organizations. Thanks!

This one has come up before, but not in a while.

$10,000 is a good starting point. Some people will tell you can do it for less, personally I would want a bit more.

Depends which countries you're planning on going to. Some countries like Ghana are extremely inexpensive, while other countries in French West Africa (Mali, Niger) are extremely expensive to travel in.

Its really according the country - I had dayly budget between 10 and 60 EUR a day - on the same standard in diferent countries - I have been in 15 countries in Africa
