Best way to travel from Kabale to Entebbe?

Hi,

My partner and I are thinking of taking a tour with African Trails from Zanzibar to Kampala including Gorillas, however I think the tour ends in Kabale. After the tour, we need to get back to Johannesburg to continue our around the world ticket flight.

What would be the best and safest (and possibly cheapest?) way to get from Kabale to the nearest major airport in Entebbe??

From Kabale you will get a bus that will bring you to Kampala. In Kampala you will get a private car that will drop you at the Airport in Entebbe

Why go 400km to Entebbe when you can travel 80km to Kigali in Rwanda and fly to JNB from there?

Thanks for your replies! All good though. The tour operator finally got back to me and confirmed that they transfer us back to Kampala, where we'll be able to get ourselves a transfer to the airport in Entebbe.

Shame - Rwandair fly KGI-JNB Mon, Wed, Thur, Sat Dep 11.00 Arr 1500 and no I've got no connections to them. It just seems a long slog back to Kampala/Entebbe instead of enjoying a day or so in Rwanda.
