average cheap hostel prices

and what do you reckon is the average for a cheap hostel - dorms or double rooms - in morocco?
in the most touristy places and in the of the beaten track areas?

$10/night was about what I paid.

Off the beaten track, you can find accommodation for around $6 - sometimes that is all there is; in tourist areas around $12 is average, cheaper than than that can get pretty basic. Once you go to a hotel that isn't popular with tourists/in the guide books the price goes down alot. That said you can find something OK but with cold showers for $5 in Chefchaouen. So, #1's average is about right. Dorms I have never come across.

During my 2 trips there I averaged about 100 dirhams / day.
It ranged from 35 dirham to 250 dirhams.
