Ankarana National Park accommodation

I am unable to reach Chez Garden Lodge at the number given in Lonely Planet--033 1145905. Does anyone have another number or another suggestion of a place to stay in Mahamasina? Merci!

I’m just wondering whether you might mean Goulam Lodge. I never heard of a “Garden Lodge” when I visited Ankarana, and the LP entry on Ankarana has clearly been written by someone who has never been there – crass example: you read on p. 186 that “psychedelic forests of ruby-red tsingy sit next to semi-dry forests.” There are no red tsingy at Ankarana – they’re in a completely separate area, about 60 kilometres out of Diego, miles away from Ankarana.

Thanks to all. Just returned from Madagascar. Relais de l'Ankarana is less than a kilometer--maybe 10 minutes walk-- from the park entrance and is very comfortable. Costs 80K. Right at the park entrance is Goulam Lodge, which looked nice though could be more basic--we heard it was 15 - 35 K.
