Alexandria Airport

Hi guys,

Our flight from Sharjah gets in at about 2.30am - by the time we clear customs etc it will be at least 3am. Have any of you caught a few hours sleep at this airport? Just wondering whether it's worth traipsing into town to find a hotel at this hour, or whether we should just camp out at the airport till sunrise. Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a decent budget hotel in Alexandria? Happy to rock up and search for ourselves as we normally do (prefer not to prebook) but if anyone feels strongly about a particular place I'd love to hear about it.

Do you know how much this place is a night for a double? Does it include breakfast? Cheers.

I think it should be in the range of 100 EP, prolly a bit more if you get the sea view rooms (which are worth it), with breakfast, i.e. nescafe, croissents and eggs... I never eat hotel breakfasts in Alex, but unfortunately the Union is bitching about lowering the prices for foregoing breakfast.
