Do you have any recommendations for campsites or cheap yet nice accommodation in Zanzibar?
We can bring our own tent, and as wild camping is (as far as I know) illegal, I assume some hotels give the option to camp on their grounds. Any ideas for a safe place?
If not, Amy reconditions for nice affordable places? We are not divers, yet so confused with all the options..

Im thinking of renting a car or 4x4 in Dar and driving through southern Tanzania, going to Zambia and then back. I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Zam years back and want to go back with family -- wife and two kids 7 and 10 years old. My question is, is this a feasible trip? Would I need a 4x4 or 2X4? We'd be going in January -- rainy season. Any suggestions about places to see/visit/do song the way? From what I can tell we'd be going near Mikumi NP and Ruaha NP.

Its been two months since I reached the top of Kilimanjaro and over a month since I returned home from Africa. I have since moved back home after graduating university.
Did anyone else feel completely lost after returning? I spent so long planning the climb and preparing for it now that it is over and I made it I feel more dazed than I did when I was up there

Hi All. Just back from zanzibar. Which was fantastic and hassel free. We discovered a great guide. Who was very friendly with great English local knowledge and history of zanzibar. He also was well perceived by all in stonetown. His rates were good and even when we were travelling around zanzibar, he was arranging ferry tickets for us and taxis pick uos. Keeping us update at all times via whatsapp. Which took the worry out of it. And it seems for no extra charge.

Hi - I don't have a very big budget and am planning on travelling on my own, so i was wondering if there was a good hostel system, which is cheap and allows me to meet other travellers ? Is this done often and are there activities to do on a budget? And is there buses that you can take to travel around?

Okay, I guess I should have planned this trip better - I am such a mess, lol but I have no time!
I know I don't need a YF vaccination to fly into Zanzibar, but was thinking of hitting Kenya and then come back into Tanzania, where for sure I will be asked for a YF vaccination card.
Now, question is , I do believe I can get this done in Zanzibar or "mainland" Tanzania, yet has anybody ever done that??
Italy is not certainly the best place to have things done right away, and my flight is in one…
