hi all,
thanks smallmasterr for your reply 12th nov.
i now realise that this place is not cheap. it sounds like we could make a saving by not going into the crater. if we spent 2 nights in the serengeti and 1 at lake manyara, cutting out the crater, will we still see everything there is to see?
a few more questions -
1. how much return flights to kili from zanzibar per person?
2. how much airport tax per person for the above and do we have to pay both ways?
3. how much for taxi from kili airport to…
Hi,
I am hopefully climbing Kili next July. Was looking for some adventure ideas to pack out my trip. Is there mountain biking? White water rafting or other interesting things to do? I have already been to Africa before and wasn't keen on just an extended stay in a safari lodge.
Any ideas you would like to contribute would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on this company for safaris/treks in Northern Tanzania.
I searched and I found one positive comment, which is great. However, I emailed them almost a week ago and have not heard back.
I hope they are not flaky.
Anyone have any feedback for me?

Hey, I'm trying to organise a cultural tour in Tanzania at the beginning of December. I've had recommendations about a local man named Moshi, through tanzanianculturaltours.com and wondered if anyone else had heard anything about him? The tours look really good adn I've emailed but had no response as yet. Does anyone know of any other cultural tours which they've used? I'll be around Arusha adn Kili at that time so I'm looking for tours that go from there.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi, my friends and I are trying to work in a Gorilla Trek in Rwanda into our trip to Tanzania but we're a bit worried about the time scale. This is a draft version of our plan so far:
Monday 10th December flight from Kili airport to Kigali arrives around 17.00, overnight in Kigali
Tuesday 11th Pick up permits from Kigali tourist office and get a bus to Ruhengeri.
Wed 12th Do gorilla trek
Thurs 13th Get bus back from Ruhengeri to Kigali, another overnight in Kigali
Fri 14th Flight back to Kili airport…
I will be spending a couple of nights in the city of Shingyanga this coming February and haven't had any success finding accommodation online. Ideally it'd be a youth hostel, possibly a motel but my budget is not very big! I'm not too fussed about the conditions so long as it's cheap and safe.
Please help if you have any suggestions. Cheers.
Hi all,
I am planning on climbing (hopefully) Kili with Peregrine tours in late feb/march of 08 on the Machme route, 6days. After reading some prior posts I wonder if any one has had any positive experiences with Peregrine? I understand that they subcontract out. Does anyone know about their subcontractors. I have already paid the non refundable deposit and am starting to freak out a little cuz....peregrine/their agent don't seem to provide much info. As this will be a once in a lifetime…
I'm going to be in East Africa from mid-January to mid-February
Is it possible to say or guess, based on the migratory patterns, whether the cratar (Tanzania) or the Serengeti in Kenya would be the better safari destination?
Am I correct to assume that safaris booked in Kenya normally don't go into Tanzania?
Would anyone know what minimum price I should expect to pay for a 3-4 day safari with good animal-viewing opportunities, if I were to do this in group put together by the safari company, and if…
I’m going to Zanzibar in January. I wonder if it necessarily to book accommodation in advance since January is the very peak of the season as I read. I’m travelling alone at a budget, so guesthouse, cottage, hostel or a campsite are what I'm looking for.
If anyone can give my some advice for a nice beach and cheap accommodation as well it would be great!
Thanks for your help
