Are you after getting there as quickly as possible or looking at doing a journey, stopping along the way?

If its a quick trip - fly; Zanzibar to Dar and then connect with a flight to Lusaka and bus to the falls; slowest - ferry to Dar, train and then 2 buses. Please more info about your monetary budget and timeframes. Cheers

Cross back to Dar, head down towards Malawi and make a couple stops along the lake (there are numerous options). From Lilongwe cross over to Zambia, try and get yourself to South Luangua (in my opinion the best park in Africa) - look at Flat Dogs camp site as an option there. Then onto Lusaka as a stop over to break up the journey and on to Livingstone. You can either get visa on arrival or don't need a visa for just about all countries from Tanzania down. When you cross into Zambia you may be able to get a UNIVISA which covers Zambia and Zimbabwe, it's not available at all entry points, not sure about the border with Malawi.
