HELLO!

I have found a place online, its called Mambo View Point at Lushoto in Tanzania, it looks fantastic.

Has anyone volunteered at the place or have any other information for me about Tanzania?

Thanks

Chris

the information made on the web sties from MamboViewPoint lodge / volenteering / foundation all looks good

I made some enquiries about volunteering and all my questions were answered satisfactorily apart from one

The question I asked was about gaining a work/volenteering permit from the tanzanian immigration department, Herman the owner said it was not necessary as I would be a friend and that bthis was ok and I could go to Kenya for a new stamp when my first one ran out

I went to the Tanzanian embassy and they said this was not true I needed a permit

This made me feel very uncomfortable and made me doubt what was written on the site and what I had been told

my interest in the lushoto area of tanzania is still interesting for me to volenteer does anyone know of another place?

I was volunteering in Tanzania last summer, I spent 5 weeks there in rural areas. check out raleighinternational they're awesome and you'll have the best experience in your life!
They tell you something about the visa as well but theres no problem with it, they have such a long experience and they make sure youre fine. I highly recommend them specially if its your first time abroad volunteering.

Thank you benalucas9 and melbell77

I did some more checking up on Mambo View Point and visited the place, the areas is beautiful and the local people are wonderful

I got a very bad feeling about Mambo View Point and the owners Herman and Marion, I have worked in development and what they are telling on the website is blatantly untrue

Talking with the villagers all I heard were negative things and problems that Mambo View Point were causing in the area

I found another project to help out, so I had a good trip, make sure you check out claims made as you can come unstuck quickly
