I need to get from Nairobi to Kigali. I would prefer to take a bus as it is much cheaper than flying and I will get to see the countryside, however, if I factor in the additional VISA's it may be cheaper just to fly.
In any case, does anyone know of a bus service between Nairobi and Kigali? I've heard about Modern Coach but they don't see to show a schedule between those cities, even though there is an office in both places.

I took Modern from Nairobi
Very reliable and the cost is about 3500 Ksh
Stellar service!

Sure you can take any bus and be subject to dangerous driving, discomfort, and most likely a longer ride due to numerous stops and breakdowns.
Modern is a well maintained bus service that is very professional in every way possible.

Jambo Traveller360 - so are Kenyan coaches back running at night?? The last I read was that NO Kenyan coaches were permitted to operate after dark. One assumes that the route you took was through Uganda (correct?)
