Hello! My fiancé and I are looking for tour operator recommendations for a safari in Tanzania. We'd like to hit all of the highlights: Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara. Looking for a 6-8 day safari in late July/August 2014, luxury tour as it will be our honeymoon! Thanks all!
Hi Sunny
Most contributors to this forum are on the budget end of travelling so unluckily you will most likely not get many or any luxury safari recommendations. Trip Advisor is probably the better site to review for luxury safari's though just be careful of the fake reviews which there are plenty.
Hopefully someone will prove me wrong and give you a great tour operator and itinerary.
Have a beautiful Honeymoon.
If I would be in your position I would try one of the big operators like Leopard Tours or Ranger Safaris. They have the full program from budget to hyper luxury. And you can be sure, I have no relation to one of these companies.
Now that Johann mentions it, I do remember a lot of the more wealthy clientele in Leopard tour vehicles. Maybe start with them.
Hi,
I can highly recommend Planet Africa Safaris, they can organise bespoke tours but here is an example of a standard itinerary especially for honeymooners:

They will take great care of you from start to finish.

Hey congrats on the marriage and an African safari is a really cool idea for a honeymoon adventure. I was on a pretty tight budget when I went a year ago so I know the feeling. I ended up going with the North Star Explorers Group. It was everything I was hoping for so definitely worth checking out. Best of luck to you on your trip, let us know how it went. Here is a link to the tour company.

Hi there,
My 10 year old son and I had an 8 day camping safari this past summer. Our guide Dearson with 10 years experience was fantastic.
As you likely know nearly all the safari companies are owned by foreigners. I can certainly recommend him and his new company Tanzania Lion Charters. tanzanialioncharters.com
He can quote on various levels of comfort.
Great game spotting and takes his time. Respected in the world of guides and park staff. Our cook was also excellent - not sure if you would get him.
Happy to answer any questions on or off line.
Sheila

I used Safari Infinity - twice. They can custom build a safari to any budget and level of luxury you want.

They get very good reviews on Trip Advisor, which is the travel forum you may want to check if looking for non-budget, non-camping itineraries.

Go to TATO members (http://www.tatotz.org/) and make research yourself. Start from A - Z Company and send as many e-mail as possible to make sure you get a better offer and enough information.
