My boyfriend and I are planning a 5-7 day Tanzania northern circuit trip from 29th Dec. We’d like to see the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park etc with a cultural activity at the end.
We are undecided as to which company to book with. Would anybody recommend Duma Explorers or Into Africa?

We had an 11-day past super personal camping safari with them, and I so look forward to going again.
The owner is excessively helpful on the TT for all those going on safari - his handle is Achnab.
You might want to search out his replies as he is very knoweldgeable and he can be contacted via his website.

While I have not personally been to Tanzania... yet, a good friend and fellow photographer whose judgement I trust 100 percent has and he used Duma Explorers on two previous trips there in the last three years. He also came back with some fabulous photos to die for!
He is presently organizing another 15 day trip to go there with a small group in February 08 and I am considering it (I have to give him my answer by Sunday), however the stumbling block is the BIG price... and I want to hike Kilamanjaro too. Ouch!
To answer your question, he says Duma is outstanding. I checked their website, and they seem pretty good. Now you have to make a decision.

Ok - one more suggestion for you.
We went with Jacob - jacoblose@yahoo.com as our guide. He was such an excellent guide we used him twice, once with my parents and the second time with my sister and both trips were awesome.
Safaris are really amazing trips if
1. you have a well maintained 4 x 4 - the road is bumpy and rough and you don't want to get stuck
2. you stay in a decent enough place you can rest and relax after all that time in the car and getting up early
3. your guide has extra sensory perception and can spot animals a mile away and see signs you never even knew existed.
Jacob's company runs and books good clean safe safaris and Jacob was the most unbelievable guide i've ever been on safari with.
