Hi
Very last minute planning but me and my boyfriend are heading to Malawi/Tanzania in a couple of weeks. We are planning to move up from Malawi into Tanzania and wondered if Ruaha National Park is better, less crowded, than the Serengeti?
Has anyone gone and not pre-booked a safari here? Any recommendations would be great! Thanks x

@Jooby14 - you have to give ideas how she can reach the and have this trip done without and mess, not to promote your business !!!
@KayleighGlinn - This is obvious depends on where you wish to start the safari either from Dar Es Salaam or from the Souther part of Tanzania like Mbeya or Iringa. But also you can take the flight direct to Ruaha National Park without use and tour operator and organise the trip from the Lodge there for affordable price. There are some Airline fly to Ruaha from everywhere in Tanzania like Auric Air , Coastal Aviation , Flight Link or Safari Airlink .
Good luck on your trip. I am planning the reverse of this (Tanzania and then Malawi) after Christmas and look forward to your posting of your experience. I will be spending 3 days in Ruaha, but sadly skipping the Serengeti due to time restraints. How are you traveling between Malawi and Tanzania? By land? If so, then Ruaha looks close to the northern border of Malawi. I have not planned my overland travel into Malawi, so any advice is welcome. Safe and happy travels!

We were there and organized everything from Dar es salaam. We went to Ruaha and Mikumi 3 nights 4 days. If you will be entering Tanzania from Malawi then go to Tanzania and arrange your tour.
We're from Poland and going to Tanzania in January with our daughter (17). This kind of trip (4days) sounds ideał for us. We're traveling on budget. Would you definiately recommend it and would you mind telling the cost and how to go about it when we get to Dar Es Salaam. Thanx in advance
Hi! We actually did Tanzania and Malawi last summer with my boyfriend. I would definitely go for Ruaha, it's less crowded (it's not crowded at all), beautiful and far cheaper! No need to pre-book, do it once you are there, and you can negotiate the price. anyway, you read everything on my blog:
