A couple of us are looking to do a safari but are hoping to find some more people to do it with. The safari is with Ecobushman.com a company which was highly recommeneded to us. We are looking to go on 26th or 27th and returning to Dar on 30th or 1st December, but the safari ends in arusha so you can just stop there if needed.

Day by day flow of the short Northern Tanzani safari.

Day 1. We set out from Arusha and drive through the typical Maasai steppe country to Mto wa Umbu. We leave the tarmac and turn along a meandering rough road driving along the base of the Great Rift Valley wall to Lake Natron. From the camps we have an imposing view of Oldoinyo Lengai the holy mountain of the Maa community. Evening sundowner walk to The gorge for a natural shower and swim in the fresh waterfall coming from Ngorongoro highlights. Overnight in community campsite.
Day 2. We start very early before sunrise head out to the lake to catch early birds ( flamingos) in the beautiful morning light. Back to camp for breakfast then check out for long drive through scenic Loliondo and Wasso before arriving to Klein's Gate of the northern Serengeti. Check in the magical park and head slowly with game drive to Lobo camp set camp and have an easy Game drive just around lobo area.
Day 3.
Very easily start with sunrise game drive in search of cats and other life dramas of the Serengeti.
By around 10. We start our movement south-wards to seronera central Serengeti. The contrasting ecosystems and will present different animals and behaviour as we get to more open plains proper (Savannah).
Overnight in camp close to seronera.
Day 4.
Morning game drive as head out to Ngorongoro Crater. For another stunning gamedrive in the Crater or if we have seen animals ( optionally we can visit Olduvai Gorge this living museum of human heritage)
Overnight in Msimbazi Inn Karatu.
Day 5.
Start very early to get the bushman community just before they set out to for short hunts. Or just visit and enjoy the nice time with them relaxed and taking it easy after a day.
We visit the datoga blacksmith if who the bushmen batter trade meat for arrows.
We then drive back to Karatu for lunch them proceeded to Arusha for the night or Kilimanjaro International Airport for the flight to Dar es Salaam.
End of safari.
