Hi,
I will travel tanzania on mid- March. I would like to join the safari ( ngoronogoro, serengeti 2 D/ 3 N )

i searched the travel agency written lonely planet book. I found that if i stay ( mobile) camp ,

the price is cheap but at night, animal is around the camp. but in the tented camping safari,

the bed, toilet, ( hot shower) is included . I HEARD THAT in arusha , many travel agency is exist then

it is easy i can join the budget camp safari . BUT i want " tented camp or lodge safari.

then IT IS difficult to join the tented camp safari when i arrive arusha because it should be reserve about 1~ 2 months before

because of save the bed ( of tented camp) ?

thank you

Actually it's a lucky to get the group which doing tented camping , because most of sharing safari groups are doing base camping which is cheaper and easy to find at Arusha town than tented camping . And there is no that threat of animals been around your tent because 24 hours there are security guys who are full armed so they secure the campsites all the time . But in base camping just it included sleeping bag , mattresses , tent's gears etc but hot water and other stuffs are available at the camping site .

I read the traveller safari experience ( serengeti, and ngorongoro ) they said at night very scared because

of crying havena ( sorry^^, my english is not good) at serengeti, and SHE CAN NOT come back to

her tent after finish toilet for elelphant and other traveller also scared at ngorongoro for horse.

I HEARD THAT in masai mara of kenya , the security guy is exsist . then I THINK you confused with masai mara

for 24hr security. THANKS

I didn't confuse it with Maasai Mara , because i have been there and i had done 4 days sharing safari from Arusha -- Tarangire --Serengeti-- Ngorongoro -- Arusha town , and our accommodation was base camping which we tented at public campsites with sleeping , mosquito's net bag and mattresses and everything was fine ... i am telling you this as i have already witnessed this by my own eyes !.

Of course the lodges are 100% safer. At public campsites no fences, an Elephant can pass near your tent but it can not enter the room of the lodge.

Dear Cernik, I appreciate your warm kindness. BUT i am still scary for sleep at " camp"
you also heard the hyenas but how you felt " really' safely? ( i am sorry but in logically it is nonsense)
i HEARD THAT serengeti is MORE SCARED than ngorongoro.

please let me know your experience of sleeping camp at " serengeti " (and which camp you sleeped )
