hey!

I just arrived after a 18000 k's bicycle journey through the continent and by bike really need a service...

Is there a good repair shop somewhere around Long street? If not, where can I find one?

Cheers!

I'm planning a trip to South Africa, and was able to find a great package deal that included a game drive in Amakhala. I have heard mixed reviews. Has anyone had any experiences in Amakhala (positive / negative)? Any information would be helpful.

Thanks!

Johannesburg

Have been told about a RTW airfare where I could stopover in Johannesburg for a few nights. I've never set foot in Africa so would am very keen to do it.
Has anyone any thoughts/ideas about what would be interesting/safe to do there? I'm a young over 60 and travelling alone. Am hoping a short safari might be possible.

Thanks in hope.......

we are two women traveling with three teenagers the end of July, spending two weeks in South Africa. We will be spending the first week at Mabula Game Lodge outside of Johannesburg, and the second week at the Strand Pavillion outside of Capetown. On our first night arriving in Johannesburg, I have made reservations at the Aero Guest Lodge. Has anyone stayed there? I have been to Capetown several times, but never to the Strand. What are things not to be missed? Would greatly appreciate…

Hi,

I visited Lower Sabie restcamp in August 2006 and stayed in one of the one bed huts. I loved the camp and after hearing me go on about the Kruger for nearly 12 months my parents have decided to come to South Africa with me in August 2008.

My parents would like to stay in accomodation with a bathroom and a little more luxury than the hut I stayed in, though they're not expecting the Ritz or anything!

I have heard that Lower Sabie is being renovated.

How is this renovation affecting the camp…

I am going to be along the south africa's eastern coast for the month of july. I was wonder if anyone had any suggestions for a place I could relax and chill out for a week or two. I am more into nice nature views then bar hopping.

Thanks
Phil

Hi,
I haven't yet got to booking accomodation in Johannesburg for mid July (flying in during the afternoon, out again next morning). Should I, or is it easy to organise from the airport. I'm looking at midrange accomodation rather than backpackers, probably a B&B.
Thanks, Jo.

Kwazulu-natal

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for some good advice re how to spend four days in the Kwazulu-natal?

I'll arrive from the Kruger park via the Swaziland, before starting a three days wilderness trail in the Hluhluwe-infolozi park.

I'm interested in diving at sodwana bay. Can anyone reccomend a diving center or a place to stay?

I heard also about the tembe park. Has anybody been there?

thanks
Marco

I am wonderfind if anyone has used Wildlife Safaris of Johannesburg? Do they have good guides and are they reputable. I imagine they are bu would like to know if anyone has used them.

Also a week ago I asked if anyone has travelled recently on the Shosholza Meyl Train (Premier Class). So far they has been no response on this question.

Thank you all for your help.
