Hi There,
I am planning on doing a 6 week placement in a safari lodge nr Kruger, but then want to fly over to Cape Town to visit friends, before flying up to Tanzania from there.
Can anyone suggest a cheap and quick way of doing this by any means i.e train, plane, car etc!!!
Many Thanks
Holly
has anyone used kalahari safaris ? would greatly appreciate your experience ..
Hi All,
A colleague and I have five days to spend touring following a conference mid this month. We are currently booked to spend those days in Cape Town. I am having second thoughts. I would like to do a couple day safari and then three days in Cape Town. Mt Etjo lodge sounded great but it is booked. Cardboard box suggested Indongo lodge. www.namibian.org/travel/lodging/private/frans_indongo.html

Has anyone stayed there? Your recommendations? They have a large park as part of the grounds…
Hi All,
Anyone out there have any information or experience on Hang gliding in Cape Town?
I’ve never been but really want to try it. I figure that will be the place to do it.
Any Hang gliding operators that you’d recommend I go through?
Do I have to have a reservation beforehand or can I just show up?
I’ll be in Cape Town this November, is this a good time to go Hang gliding?
Thanks for any information you can provide.
Libby
Hey everyone,
I'm a planning a trip to SA in Dec/Jan. Do you know about any cheap flights (below 700 Euro) from some German city to cape town? I would mind having several stopps.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Emma
Young couple are going to spend New Year in the republic of South Africa from December, 27 till January, 11. We are sports, have a perfect command of a English language . The guy has spent in the different countries of Africa more than 3th years (including RSA). He is well informed about all! ;) . We are looking for travellers for joint payment of the rented transport, cool rest and good company.
I was originally planning on staying in Durban for a week at the end of Oct. After some input from fellow travellors, I am now thinking that maybe I should spend a couple of nights there and then move on to Umhlanga Rocks for the last four days before I fly home. Does that sound insane or is that enough time in Durban? Then I can just kick back for the last few days. It will be the end of the trip for me and don't want to be running around like a madwoman, but I also don't want to be bored out…
Hello.
I will be travelling to South Africa soon and wondering what adapter I will need. I am coming from Canada. Thanks!
Hello everyone,
Thanks to those who responded to my last post! I will be in South Africa in January and am hoping to do a safari trip in Kruger. I'm wondering if anyone has used or heard anything about either Safari Rangers or Bandu Bus Tours & Safari? I'm really love to use a company that is locally owned (rather than owned by Europeans) so any recommendations would be appreciated!
Cheers,
Cat :)
Wondering if anybody has flown from South Africa to Ghana, the approximate cost and which airline they recommend. Have investigated and South Africa to Ghana is approximately $1100.00 CAN one way via South Africa Airlines. Wondering if it is best to buy the ticket from Canada or wait until I get to South Africa. Thanks
