So I've booked one night in Addo but i'm looking for another game reserve around Cape Town or PE where we'd be able to see some more of the BIG 7. Anybody have any suggestions?

I'm hoping to plan a trip to South Africa sometime early next year. Looking at starting in Pertoria, heading through Mozambique, Swaizland and then down the coast to Cape Town. What I'm wondering is when is the best time of year to visit? I've traveled quite a bit and do not mind the high temperatures or humidity however; I would prefer not to go during the rainy season. I'm heard/read that January thru March is quite wet however; some guide information is indicating that it isn't????

We are a family travelling together from cape town to shamwari and then back along the garden route. We have two nights to spare on the trip over to the the game reserve and was wondering where one could stay so would not be doubling back over again on the way back. We are an older aged family with no small kids. I am looking for some helpful tips to keep all happy.

I'm going to be flying into Johannesburg on the 3rd of Jan from Vic Falls and get in pretty late, I am fairly used to rocking up places and just finding any old hostel to sleep in but have been warned against this in this case, is this just scaremongering? I am Visiting Kruger Park next year April and was wondering where to spend most of my time viewing wild life
I was thinking of entering at Phalaborwa Gate, Spending the first night in the Sable dam hide, Second in Letaba, 3rd and 4th in Satara and 5th in Lower Sabie or Crocodile Bridge.

But not sure if this is the best case. Maybe 2 nights in Lower Sabie and 1 in Satara.
I also want to do a guided walk and a night drive which camps would be beter prefible to do these in.

We (2 adults + 1 child 10 y with backpacking experience) will travel by a rented car to Krueger NP and will spend 6-8 days in that area.
Our plan is: Arriving in Jb in the morning 8 am 21 Dec and then heading north to spend first night outside Krueger NP.
Then have own driving through the park. But we also look for an 2-3 guided walking adventure (staying overnight in tents) and a 2 nights
stay at an affordable, nice lodge.

You all helped me on my first question, so now I will ask another. When we arrive in J'Burg (7 of us) we are renting a van and immediately heading out to Nelspruit. I have heard of safety issues in the city itself, how about from the airport east? Anything we should look out for or be aware of other than what I have read?
