I was wondering how long it takes to drive from Joburg/Pretoria to Mbabane? Any recommendations for places to stay between the two places? Thanks.

unfortunately my first ever trip to SA is only allowing me a brief sniff of Cape Town.

so i'm arriving in on Thurs 6th Dec at 0930 and leaving on Fri 7th Dec at 1045.

I'd love to visit Table Mountain and just soak up the Cape Town energy somewhere.

So, how should I do this?
What transport do i need to and from airport?
What hostel should I stay at given my limited time (and where I can get a good night's sleep)?

sorry if this is a dumb question. i am hopefully (hopefully) going to SA for the first time in february.

my plan is to start in cape town, go to durban (making stops along the way) and eventually end up in j'burg. the only reason i am even going to j'burg is to go to kruger. i was wondering what the cheapest way to get from j'burg to kruger is. i don't mind camping, and i would like at least two days to explore the park. i'm not really big on tours or group travel, but if it's the…

Please help me, I'm thinking about starting to find work in Cape Town for a year.

What do you recommend I can do in my spare time? I've never been to Africa, but I've heard Kruger park is a must see.

My other option is Ghana. Please share your opinions? which one you think is the best option.

Could someone give me advice on suitable clothing etc. which i may need to pack for 2 week holiday break. During the first 6 days i will be staying in Capetown, then 3 days safari near Nairobi, Kenya and last of all 5 days at the Dani Beach. I would be grateful for any clothing advice or any other advice to help my partner and I make the most of this trip.

I am planning a trip to Capetown in January (dates are flexible) and have been looking at hotels on Tripadvisor.

Most rates appear to be per room, and therefore not great value for a solo traveller. Can anyone recommend anywhere that does a decent discount for single occupancy?

I am working on my 2 week trip to SA

I arrive in CT and currently have a day and a half there. 4 days later I have to be in Port Elizabeth to meet a friend.

I'm debating whether to:

- Hang out in CT for an extra 3 days and then fly to PE at the last minute, or

- Catch a couple of Baz buses along the Garden Route with a stop over at either Ooudshorn or Wilderness

Staying in CT gives me more time to get to know the place, relax, etc. Getting on the road means a lot more travelling (2 half days out of…

I have just booked a flight back to the UK for April time, and I am flying home from Johannesburg, however am staying in Cape Town. How much time do I need to leave in between flights at Johannesburg airport?

There is one flight that gives me like 4 hours, that should be plenty?

Hi guys,sorry if this sounds like a stupid question,but I'd like some opinions.I'll be travelling in SA for a couple of months.I want to spend about a week in Kruger,doing as much as possible( this will be next August). Is it worth going to other parks as well,like Addo,Imfolozi etc., or will I just see the same stuff but less of it? I know its not guaranteed to see all types of animals but thats the same wherever I go.Thanks for your help Luc.

Ok anyone help - I'll be in Hoedspruit from Thursday to Sunday (really only 2 days, Friday and Saturday) - what to do? (I'll be in Balule game Reserve after that so please dont say go to Balule/Kruger!
