hi there,

I need to book up kruger park from the UK (my place of residence), before I leave for South Africa in August.
I would like people to put the area of the park they stayed in along with the full price they paid so that I can get a good idea of what to expect if thats at all possible.

Ideally it needs to be a fairly recent trip so that the prices haven't changed a great deal.

There are two of us and we don't drive ourselves so a guided tour would be our only option.
I should say too that we are looking for a 3 day tour (two nights), inside the park and accomodation is really not a concern in terms of luxury. (cheap is fine).

I would like your prices to include all the bells and whistles because its hard to understand all the different add ons and what you need to pay.

an example of what you might put could be e.g. went to crocodile bridge - cost 3050 rand for 3 days - contact dah de dah and they will set you up.............this would be great. I really need help becuase I need to book in the next few days.

I love photography but I know I will be limited on a tour to when the rangers decide when and where we go. Maybe a watering hole would be a good start for this.........you decide for me please.

thankyou people.

August in Kruger - isn't it pretty much booked up already? Your choices might be quite limited if you're staying within the park.

aliqubs - I found this price at big5backpackers.com but they seem to have problems with their website. I actually phoned them on the 14th june to ask if they are up to date prices and they quoted me R2600 each this time.

Also, you need to be a little cautious becuase on one of the thorn tree posts it says that this company may be closing at some point. I didn't ask them this yet but they were very helpful on the phone and said they need a 50% deposit 10 days before you visit and the rest when you arrive.

This will be different in your case as you will need to book well in advance as you are going at peak time.

Im currently checking out livingstonetrails.com as they are charging R2800 each but with a 7% discount with a VIP card.

Do yourself a favour if you haven't already done so, go to statravel.co.uk and order a south african VIP card. It will cost around £17.00 + postage, but in just one transaction, it has paid for itself by using it on your kruger tour, and you can use it on a whole host of other activites as well as accomodation and food.........NICE.

I hope this helps

Hi

I have just done a fantastic Kruger trip (2 weeks ago), but it was 4 days 3 nights for R3395pp.

It was not the cheapest, but I think the most unique for the price.

The nice thing about this trip is that you stay in Tree Houses.

I booked through Adventure Travel Africa

I hope this helps.
