Hi everyone,
I am planning to travel from cape town to victoria falls - overland. Is there any agency that organizes tours like that that you can recommend and that are not that very expensive?
Thanks to everyone, Emma

Lots of tour companies do a tour like this, it's generally 21 days long.
Try looking into GAP Adventures, Imaginative Traveller, Geckos, Dragoman.
I went on an longer trip (Nairobi-Cape Town) July to September with ATC (africatravelco.com) - they were reasonably priced and I can't recommend them highly enough. Crew fantastic, truck comfortable and reliable etc. Am already thinking of using them again next year!! They do a 3 week trip Vic Falls to Cape Town or vv. NOmad also do one - have used them too, and as with ATC, would go again in a heartbeat
Here's a link to ATC's Cape Town to Vic Falls trip. I would definitely recommend them as well after doing two overland trips with them. I've met some great people on the trips too :-)
I've also used ATC, and have done their VF-Cape Town trip and I'd also highly recommend them.
Acacia also seem to get good recommendations on here and are similar price to ATC. Both are pretty mid range. They seem also to both contract to bigger tour operators so if you book through one of the bigger operators like Explore or Exodus you might well end up on one of their trips anyway.

How much was the tour for the Vic Falls to Captown?
What other trips do they do? Poss from Jozie to Chobe or to Etosha. I'm looking for busget but a little comfort.
I'm spending 3 months, hopefully able to see all 9 countries in Southern Africa/
Please give me an idea of trip prices. I was expecting to get signle rooms in hostels for approx $15.00, if I'm desperate, I'll do dorms.
I can't figure on renting a car an getting a tent or air mattress unless I'm with another traveller.
Sorry for rambling, just excited about trip and need some monetary advise, not genralizations,
kan

Hi
I also did a 20/21 day trip from Cape Town to Vic Falls with Africa Travel Co.
Even though the truck broke down, the scenry and crew made up for it.
The price was the cheapest for the dates I wanted.
I thought the parts from Cape Town to Swakopmund were the best and the flight over the Okavango is a must.
Bring a flash light that you can put on your head. It was the most usefull thing on the trip.

Why not try actually reading people's advice?
#2 gives ATC's website and #3 has even provided a direct link to the trip on ATC's website which has all the price details.
Other trips are on their website.

Hi jflaherty
I went in April/May. The price then was R5200 plus $410 local payment.
I booked through Adventure Travel Africa.
You pay the same if you go directly.
They also did not have extra fees for Credit Card payments.
