Bosch, sly dig mate ! 1 Englishman and proud of it asked 'Can we turn round a group stage 36 - 0 defeat ?'

Yes I think we've got the strength, motivation and quality to win, but if we give away too many penalties ? Percy will slap our lily white English asses for us !

#6 - John yes Lions eat boks, but unfortunately thats 'The British and Irish Lions' look closely at the emblem on our shirt ! It's the Red Rose of the 'House of Lancaster'

He does if the young buck gets too cocky !!!

missalaska - Just how high is that fence that you're sitting on ?

bundabasher - spot on mate, but we aint got the 'Mighty Johno' this time !

May the best team win, and after we have ? May I still be welcome in ZA ???

Martin, I see the Young Communists are supporting the Boks (see below). We are sure to lose now!

---------------------

"As the YCL we strongly believe that the Springboks have the required armoury to annex and bring home the prestigious trophy," the Young Communists said in a media statement on Monday. "We call on the people of South Africa to dedicate 80 minutes to the Springboks for a superb victory. We salute the splendid performance displayed by our team, and we hope that the technical team under the tutelage of Jack White are working hard in repeating the same feat against England in the final," the YCL said.

Bosch, only 'Political zealots' would raise a resolution refering to something that will so obviously happen anyway ! If it's an attempt to make political headway ? Pathetic ! If its a heartfelt plea to the people of ZA ? Im sure theres a few sheep on the Karoo that will be more interested in improving their taste ready for becoming my lunch, than they are in watching the rugby, but im sure most 2 legged mammals will be stuck in front of their TV's watching 'THE FINAL'

Even I have to make a sacrifice, an ill timed golf tour, of which the presentation dinner starts at 8.00 (uk time) Saturday night ! 4 Courses of the finest Fare and it looks like im going to have to miss it, sit in the hotel bar and drink the finest of 'English ales'

Lets just hope its a great final, worthy of a great world cup !

Martin, I have the 'pleasure' of having to go to a wedding on Saturday. The reception starts at 18:30. A marriage where the wedding has the misfortune of being scheduled on the same day as THE FINAL is surely doomed to failure? Unless of course they've had the good sense to arrange a big screen at the reception venue. We live in hope.

Will - I wish the happy couple well, if they keep the speeches short ? Hope you get to see the game, and if by some miracle we win ?
Watch out for some gloating posts next week !!!!

When I got married decades ago (a folly since corrected), I scanned every possible sporting code's fixtures to ensure there was no clash! If there had been, I'd have had hardly any mates in attendance.

#8. Bosch - I hope that I'll take defeat with as much grace as yourself...

bundu, luckily I've got a lot going on at the moment, so when you win I'll just say "Bygones" and move on. But I'll be sure to congratulate you again and Martin will definitely still be welcome in SA as far as I'm concerned!

Arthur, that was a really smart thing to do and I wish I could have said the same about Saturday's happy couple!
